A century ago, timber was the state's biggest industry. Throughout the South West, felled trees were sent to mills and processed for export. At every stage, steam engines provided the power. For nearly a century, Yarloop Workshops was the heart of this industry. At its peak 100 people worked here. Be fascinated by the saw doctors shop, steam locomotives and steam generators, the vast and haunting main workshop and the treasure trove that is the patternmaker's shop.
